We are seeking a part-time gardener for the 2026 season. Our season begins in March and ends in December. Ideal candidate would be available 2-3 days a week, with some flexibility. Daily tasks include planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, raking and deadheading of annuals and perennials. We do a mix of maintenance and design/installs. Ideally candidate will have their own vehicle to get to job sites throughout Southern RI, Newport, Middletown and Mystic, CT. We value horticultural education and offer lots of on the job and in the classroom opportunities. We work hard but have fun, our team spirit is high and we are searching for someone who will share our joy of gardening.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of outdoor garden work, including:

• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs

• Climbing in and out of truck beds approximately 3 feet off the ground

• Standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, and stooping for extended periods

• Shoveling soil, compost, mulch, and other heavy materials regularly

• Reaching above and below shoulder height for pruning and raking

• Safely using and gripping hand tools

• Working outdoors in varied weather conditions, including heat, light rain, and cold

• 2 paid days off per season

• 30 minute paid lunch time per day
